Step 5: Complete the Import #

STEP 5 Finalize and verify your import

1. After your audio files are uploaded and you click Continue, Composer Catalog will prepare and finalize your data.
2. The system processes everything and imports it into your online catalog.
3. Once complete your full catalog will be available in Composer Catalog Online.
4. Navigate to the Tracks section to verify your tracks are all present.
5. Click on any track to confirm the data came through correctly.
6. Tracks with uploaded audio files will show a Play button — click it to verify audio playback is working.

After the Import — What to Expect #

Tracks With Audio Files #

Any track that had a linked audio file in your desktop catalog AND that you uploaded during the import process will now show a Play button in Composer Catalog Online. You can play these tracks directly from the Tracks list, the Track Detail view, or the Track Edit view.

Tracks Without Audio Files #

Tracks that did not have audio files linked in your desktop catalog — or tracks whose audio files were not uploaded during the import — will not show a Play button. You can add audio files to individual tracks at any time after the import by going to the track’s edit screen and uploading files in the Files section.

Verifying Your Data #

After import, spend a few minutes spot-checking your catalog:

• Verify the total track count in the Tracks section matches your desktop catalog.
• Open several tracks and confirm the metadata came through correctly.
• Check that writers, musicians, and publishing deals are present on tracks that had them.
• Test audio playback on a few tracks to confirm files are linked and playing correctly.
