The Import section lets you bring track data into Composer Catalog from an external file rather than entering each track manually. This is especially useful when migrating from another catalog system or from a spreadsheet.
Supported import file formats:
- CDA files
- SDF files
- CSV files (most common — exportable from Excel or Google Sheets)
- CMPCAT (format created from the Composer Catalog application)
Import History #
Import History shows a complete log of every import you have performed in Composer Catalog. This is your safety net if something goes wrong during an import.
How to use Import History to undo a bad import:
- Click Import History in the left-hand menu.
- Find the import session you want to review or undo.
- Click View Tracks to see all the tracks that were brought in during that import.
- Click Edit by Selection.
- Select all the tracks from that import.
- Click Delete to remove them.
| Tip: Always review your Import History immediately after importing. If any tracks came in incorrectly — wrong data, duplicates, or formatting issues — you can quickly identify and remove just those tracks without affecting the rest of your catalog. |
